This is your opportunity to find out how much you know about life in the United Kingdom. The Facebook Britishness Test application lets you take a test just like that taken by people who are applying to make Great Britain their permanent home.

To pass you need to get 18 out of the 24 multiple choice questions correct.  The application will show you how your friends have done in the test and your overall rank against everyone who has taken the test.

So far it is the Polish who have led the way in the test with an average score of 15.2.  British people have lagged behind in sixth place of countries whose citizens have taken the test.  Infact, of the 11,118 British people who have sat the test only 1,585, or 14 per cent, achieved a pass score.

The Life in the UK test is a requirement for all people who want to gain permanent residence in the United Kingdom or to gain British citizenship.  It was introduced by the British government in November 2005.  Over 430,000 migrants have taken the Life in the UK test since its introduction.  And nearly 1 in 3 of them have failed.

People who use our publications to study for their test have a much better pass rate.  Around 90% of our readers pass their test on the first attempt, ensuring that their residency and citizenship applications proceed, and that they don’t have to pay another £34 test fee!
