Immigration Bill 2014: Re-cap on how the changes affect you
The latest changes to the Immigration Rules came into effect on 14 May 2014. According to the Home Office these reforms make 'fundamental changes' to the system. Specifically it will, 'limit the factors which draw illegal migrants to the UK [and] make it easier to remove those with no right to be here'.

Changes to the Immigration Rules have been presented to Parliament which affect all tiers of the points based system. These include broadening of the Exceptional talent route to include the digital technology sector, as well as extending the length of stay to five years for successful Tier 2 applicants.
